DeepMind use AI technology to control energy management in google data centres

Google has the most efficient data centres in the world , but with the help of DeepMind they are further trying to improve its energy efficiency . In current scenario nearly 2% of world greenhouse gas emission could be linked to data centres across the world . Hence even a small change in energy usage could have a long term effort on energy management and future energy usage .

When google acquired DeepMind their was a common doubts about how they are going to use the technology to make profit. But now it has been more clear and as always google has found a very useful program for DeepMind AI algorithms by using them to reduce nearly 40% energy usage in their data centres . DeepMind concentrates in developing algorithms that predict the energy usage and moves to make a substantial change .

Further down the line they are also trying to use the algorithm to help UK national grid to optimise their usage .
